I adore the effect for the colouring
And yes, bushes are annoying to shade.
1. it doesn't appear draconic enought to be dragon, unlike Seprentreo.
2. Sceptile has Dragon Claw. the fact that pokemon know different moves to their type is what makes battling cool. The dragon type add-on isn't necessary.
I'm planning to use this guy as the starter for the Pokemon version of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third from "How to Train Your Dragon" (cough cough). Every single one of his Pokemon are planned to be Dragon type, and he has a Hydros, so I think it's best to make it Dragon type for consistency.
Cartoons aside, we need more starters which gain a secondary type in the first evolution. The only one so far is Bulbasaur, but I must tell you this guy is WAY more badass. In fact it's so badass it just SCREAMS for the secondary Dragon type. Besides, a PURE Grass type with a Dragon-type signature move? It just doesn't click from my standpoint . . .
